Energy Absorption:
Photoluminescent materials contain atoms or molecules with electrons in specific energy levels.
When exposed to light (UV, visible, or even infrared), the electrons absorb photons and gain energy, moving from a lower energy state (ground state) to a higher energy state (excited state).
Non-Radiative Relaxation:
In fluorescence, the excited electrons quickly relax to the lowest excited singlet state through non-radiative processes (vibrational relaxation).
In phosphorescence, the electrons may undergo intersystem crossing to a triplet state, which is metastable and allows for a slower release of energy.
Energy Emission:
In fluorescence, the electrons return to the ground state almost immediately, emitting the absorbed energy as visible light.
In phosphorescence, the electrons return to the ground state more slowly, resulting in a prolonged emission of light.
To ensure optimal performance, please avoid direct contact or friction with metal surfaces during usage.
The medium (liquid or solid) to which the luminescent pigment is added should ideally be relatively transparent to facilitate proper light emission.
Given that luminous pigments have slight solubility in water, it is crucial to store them in a sealed container to maintain their efficacy.
Throughout the production process, it is important to maintain the temperature below 700°C and ensure frequent stirring for uniform distribution of the pigment.
